Every girl gets their period at some stage so being prepared at all times is a good idea. Most girls get their first periods between the ages of 8 and 16 but 12 to 13 is the average age for a girl to get her first period. I would suggest for every girl from the age of 8 and up to take a period kit with them wherever they go just in case. You may think "I'm too young to get my period," but if you are 8 or older that may not be the case. Do you really want to be remembered as the girl who had a blood stain on the back of her pants or skirt? I assume you wouldn't want to be remembered that way so by taking a kit with you wherever you go, you can avoid situations like that. So, what are you waiting for? Go read my post on Period Kits or just create one that seems right for you. If you do get your period and you don't have a pad or tampon on you, don't be afraid to ask another girl, female teacher or a school nurse. All girls get their periods at some stage and you shouldn't be afraid to ask someone for a pad or tampon. If they judge you just say that every girl gets their period so you can't tease me because this could be you one day. When asking just act confident like you don't care what they think about you having your period and stuff. Of course it would be great if you had stuff with you but that might not always be the way. This just shows that being prepared is the best way to avoid embarrassment.
Thanks Girls
