I bought a menstrual cup!

I haven't posted in quite some time but I bought a menstrual cup! I bought the Lunette cup, size 1 in blue. I discovered recently that my local organics store sells them so of course, I had to get one. I've been wanting to get a menstrual cup for years and so finally being able to get my hands on one was very exciting. I also happen to currently be on my period so I will be sharing my first experience below and then later on (either the end of this period or after my next period), I'll post more information about my experience.

I used the cup for the first time a few hours ago. Getting it in took a while but I know it will just take time and that once I'm used to it, it won't be a problem. I tried a couple different folds but found the triangle fold the easiest. My biggest issue with getting it in was probably the fact it popped open before I fully had it in but that was mostly me just not having the best grip on the fold. I'd say one tip I have is to just try and relax. Once I got it in, I could hardly feel it. However, I could kind of feel the stem of it and so I think I'm likely to trim the stem a little just so that I don't notice it as much.

After about an hour of having it in, I decided to try and take it out. I know you can keep them in for up to 12 hours but I was just a little nervous about whether or not I'd actually be able to take it out so decided I would try it while I was home alone. It was a little bit difficult and hurt a little but again, I'm bound to get used to it with time.
